Ben Shires says he is delighted to support the local charity Go Kids Go.
The CBBC Presenter comments came after he visited a local school in Beverley with the charity where he took part in one of their workshops.
Commenting on his visit, Ben said;
“’I’m delighted to support this wonderful Beverley based charity, helping kids who use wheelchairs to get the most out of them, and helping those who don’t to understand what it’s like to use one – and learning a bit of wheelchair dancing to boot.”
Training manager Roy Wild said;
“It was great to have one of our patrons, CBBC presenter Ben Shires join us at St Mary’s School in Beverley.”
“The children loved meeting him and Ben had great fun joining in with the wheelchair activities.”
Go Kids Go is a Beverley based charity and runs training for young wheelchair users across the UK, teaching skills to enable independent mobility.
Besides the core workshops with young wheelchair users and their families, the charity also runs disability awareness training and has worked with children in a number of schools in Hull and East Riding.
Other patrons of the charity include TV presenter Ade Adepitan MBE and Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson.
