Beverley Town Football Club will be looking to protect their unbeaten run this weekend as they take on South Cave United in the Humber Premier League.
Town, now unbeaten in 8 games, go into the game with a number of players missing but Jagger feels if his side show the right attitude they will get a positive result.
With games in hand coupled with their recent run of good form means Town are back in the mix for title flying high in the Humber Premier League Table.
Speaking ahead of the game Jagger told HU17.net;
“It will be a tough challenge for us on Saturday as we have seven first team regulars missing due to a mixture of injuries, suspensions and other commitments.”
“That said we are still able to field a strong squad such is the strength in depth at the club.”
“We will be looking to extend our unbeaten run to nine games, however if we are to have any chance of getting closer to leaders Chalk Lane we have to take all three points.”
South Cave United come into the game having had a week off. Their last match was against Walkington AFC which they won 6-2 at Broadgates.
Sitting eleventh in the table, on paper this should d be banker for Town but going into the game missing so many players it could also prove to be a tricky test for Jagger’s men.
Commenting on the opposition, Jagger said;
“South Cave United are a well drilled side who on their day can be dangerous. If we maintain our good attitude and continue to play in the same vein we have every chance of getting something form the game.”
If results go their way and Town claim the win they could find themselves up to second place in the league table, complete with games in hand.
