The Royal National Lifeboat institution (RNLI) is looking for volunteers to join a newly established fundraising group in Beverley. The charity is calling on people who are looking for a rewarding new challenge for 2018 to get in touch.
The group will complement the existing RNLI fundraising branch in the town and will work alongside it to help raise vital funds to save lives at sea.
Amy Casbolt, RNLI Community Fundraising Manager explained;
“Our volunteers will be holding a fundraising collection on Saturday 3 February at Tesco in Beverley and we’re hoping that anyone who might be interested in joining our new branch will pop along to find out more.”
“Whether someone is interested in baking cakes for coffee mornings, helping with collections or tempted to have a go at organising fundraising events, we’d love to meet them in the store between 9am and 4pm.”
Amy and the team will also be at the Lairgate Hotel in Beverley on Monday 12 February between 11am and 1pm and 6.30pm and 8pm ready to extend a ‘warm welcome’ to possible new recruits.
Amy added;
“Joining an RNLI fundraising group is a great way to meet new friends and enhance your CV whilst helping to raise essential funds for our lifesaving charity. If you’re looking for a rewarding challenge for 2018, this could be just the thing.”
