Daniel Thwaites, the owners of the Beverley Arms Hotel say they are on course for re-opening the hotel this summer.
Concerns over the works taking place at Beverley Arms Hotel are not going quick enough have been raised by a number of small businesses.
Business owners while the hotel remains out of action it is having an impact on their business leaving a black hole in the town centre.
One local business owner said;
“It’s really affecting this end of town. The difference it would make would be amazing for us all but we’re all losing faith with it ever happening.”
The company offered assurances that the work was being carried out at The Beverley Arms, a spokesperson for the company said;
“We are very excited about re-opening The Beverley Arms and anyone who is in the area will be aware that work on the site has been relentless since we started renovating the building.”
“It is a significant project, involving substantial investment of many millions of pounds – and we pride ourselves on carrying out work to the highest standard, which is no less than the people of Beverley deserve.”
“We reported at the end of 2017 that we would be opening in the summer of 2018 and we’re delighted to say we are on track to do that.”
It is almost twelve months since contractors moved in and demolished part of the Beverley Arms Hotel that was a eye sore and blot on the towns skyline.
Progress is going so well the company will soon be on the lookout for the people they will need to operate the new venue.
The spokesperson added;
“The building is taking shape, the interior is starting to look fantastic and we are just about to embark on a recruitment drive to make sure we have a fantastic team in place, ready to welcome our first guests with the warmest of hospitality.”
