Bishop Burton College has unfortunately had to cancel Lambing Sunday this weekend (11th March).
The college has received veterinary advice to cancel the event after a number of lambs were identified as having a skin infection. This is believed to have been brought on by stress, caused by the recent adverse weather.
The infection is relatively minor and common but the health of all our visitors, staff and students is of paramount importance so, regrettably, we have had to make this decision.
Lambing Sunday is a hugely popular event pulling in thousands of visitors each year tot he colleague as they welcome members of the public onto their site.
Anyone who had pre-booked tickets, including for dining packages, will receive a refund in due course. Please note, this could take up to seven working days.
