A local artist Peter Watson’s work is currently on display in Beverley at Salt Architects art gallery.
Running to the first week in April, Peters work which is focused around pictures landscapes can be viewed by the public.
His work is very unique and colourful. The former teacher has in the past painted a range of changing landscapes including football grounds and more industrial sites.
Peter’s work that is on display in Beverley is inspired by what he describes as the ever changing landscapes of the Yorkshire Wolds.
Salt Architects, an award winning practice based in Beverley and was established by Bridget Hansford and Gary Hornsby.
This year sees the 20th Anniversary of the practice which works both locally and nationally on prestigious projects.
In 2016, a gallery was developed as a reflection of the working method at Salt which believes that Art and Architecture are closely linked.
The Gallery at SALT has enjoyed increase success and recognition in the area with a programme of exhibitions and a number of local artists displaying their works including ceramics, jewellery, prints, paintings and glassware.
Gallery at SALT is located at 54 Lairgate, Beverley, HU17 8EU. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm and regular ‘meet the artist’ events are held on selected Saturdays.
