Thierry Condette of TC Patisserie, Beverley took part as a guest judge in The Great Woodmansey Bake Off 2018.
Children, parents and grandparents entered the competition last week, adults competing for both a trophy and afternoon tea kindly donated by Thierry and children competing for a winner’s party kindly donated by Mega Fun, Beverley.
The children and parent/carers of Woodmansey Primary School are raising funds for their Great Outdoor Project by hosting an Easter Bake Off and Easter Fair. The whole community has been invited to participate in these events. In its 4th year, the Bake Off is always popular and over 40 entries were received this year.
Thierry judged the cake entries both on decoration and taste and awarded best overall winner, best decorated and best taste. The adult’s compete for a bespoke trophy and afternoon tea donated by TC Patisserie and various runner up prizes.
A child from each class won a place at a winner’s party kindly donated by Mega Fun, Beverley.
Cake entries from the bake off were sold at the Easter Fair to help raise even more funds for the school, raising £346.34.
Thierry said;
“I’ve really enjoyed being the judge. It’s wonderful to see the effort made. Being the judge is definitely very difficult, they are all winners. Very high standard of entries.”
Keely Phillips best overall winner said;
“I entered because I wanted to help support the school and I enjoy home baking. I was very surprised my cake won, all the cakes looked amazing.”
“I’m so pleased, thank you. I’m looking forward to enjoying my prize of afternoon tea at TC Patisserie.”
