Beverley ARLC are back in action this weekend as they hit the road and head to West Yorkshire to play Dewsbury Celtic in the National Conference League.
The Blue and Golds will be looking to continue their good start to the season, though Celtic may have other ideas in what will be a very testing fixture for Beverley.
There are some selection worries for Beverley. Josh Poskitt, is a doubt for the game after he sustained a soft tissue injury to the ankle.
The squad however will be boosted by the return of a number of players from a stag weekend in Butlins.
Scott Taylor will again be missing this week due to commitments with Hull FC meaning Pat Howdle and Duncan O’Connor will be calling the shots in this challenging match.
Beverley were due to face Celtic in March though the game had to rescheduled due to snowy conditions hitting the region.
Beverley will go into this match top of the table and have also had an extra week’s rest after water logged pitch saw their contest with second placed Clock Face Miners called off.
Celtic are also in a good run of form. They come into the game having won their last three games and are unbeaten at home all season.
While Beverley have enjoyed scoring for fun this season, Celtic will pose a different challenge boasting the best defensive record in the league having conceded just 70 points all season.
Beverley will need to get a positive result from the game if they wish to be top come Saturday evening. Celtic however will certainly fancy their chances of causing an upset on day both clubs have a lot at stake.
Anyone wishing to attend the match can use a bus service that will depart from the Potting Shed on Flemingate at 11.30AM.
