Bus users in Beverley are being reminded that certain services at certain times will be subject to slight changes to their routes during weeknights.
The local authority currently has a project to resurface the roads around Beverley with the latest phase of works causing some disruption to public transport.
In a statement released, bus operator East Yorkshire Motor Services said;
“Part of New Walkergate in Beverley will be closed each evening from Wednesday 6 June until Thursday 14 June, so after 6pm on weeknights, buses in Beverley will have to divert.”
“Service 246 buses from Hull run as normal as far as Woodmansey, then divert via the Service 121 route (Swinemoor and Norwood) to Beverley Bus Station, missing stops on Beckside/Flemingate, Armstrong Way and New Walkergate.”
“Service X46/X47 buses from Beverley Bus Station to Hull divert via Norwood, Swinemoor Lane, Holme Church Lane, Flemingate, and Keldgate to Queensgate, where they will resume their normal route. They will miss stops on New Walkergate, Lord Robert’s Road and Admiral Walker Road. Buses towards York won’t be affected.”
“These road closures will only take place on weeknights, so Saturday and Sunday buses will run as normal.”
