Beverley Town Cricket Club U11s were back in action this week as they faced a decent Welton CC side at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Batting first Beverley concluded their innings with a score of 149 which proved not to be enough as Welton replied by finishing their turn with bat on 189.
Manager Ray Teal conceded Welton were simply too good on the night, speaking after the game he said;
“Welton played good cricket and were too strong for us last night. Although we batted really well for the first twelve overs, by far the best batting all season, our ground fielding and catching let us down this time.”
