Beverley Town Football Club hosted their Sportsman’s Dinner on Saturday evening on a night that saw them welcome special guests Paul Merson and Ben Shires to Beaver Park.
Merson who enjoyed a glittering career with Arsenal Football Club making over 300 appearances for the Gunners scoring 78 goals and 21 England appearances scoring three times.
Around 100 people from local footballing and business community attended the event which was organised by the Town Reserve team boss Edward Grady.
