Humberside Police have a released an image of a man they would like to speak with who they say tried to hold up a petrol station in Beverley.
Police say they think the man in question was carrying some sort of weapon are are appealing for help from the local community to identify him.
In a statement released, Humberside Police said;
“Can anyone help identify this man in connection with an alleged attempted robbery in Beverley in the early hours of this morning 6 August 2018.”
“It happened at the 24 hour Sewell’s petrol station on Holme Church Lane around 3.45am.”
“It’s thought he had some kind of weapon on him but he ran off in the direction of the roundabout at the end of the southern bypass before taking anything.”
“He was wearing a peaked hat and, as can be seen in the photograph that is available to download, was wearing dark clothing. Do you recognise him? Did you see him?”
“Please call 101 with any information quoting reference 16/82727/18.”
