Princess Power will attempt to extend an exemplary run of form when she runs in the feature race at Beverley on Sunday.
Trained in Malton by Nigel Tinkler, the two-year-old daughter of Slade Power has won her last three races in the style of a rapidly improving filly.
Her winning spree began over Beverley’s five furlongs on July 17 and continued 10 days later with a two-length success at Thirsk.
She then faced her stiffest challenge to date in a six-furlong fillies’ nursery at Newmarket, but answered every call to defeat Weatherbys Super Sprint winner Ginger Nut by a head.
Princess Power now returns to Beverley for the £10,000 Covers33 For All Your Vinyl Needs Nursery Handicap at 3.15pm.
And her trainer is optimistic about her chances of bringing up the four-timer.
Tinkler said: “She’s a lovely filly and is a very uncomplicated horse with lots of speed and lots of gears.
“She’s done ever so well this summer, and hopefully she’s not finished yet.
“We couldn’t have been more pleased with her at Newmarket and she’s come out of the race as fresh as a daisy.
“It won’t be easy at Beverley as it looks a good race, but she’s won before at the track and the ground will also be fine for her.
“If all goes to plan at Beverley and she’s OK after the race, the idea is to go to Goodwood for a fillies’ handicap next month.
“Hopefully she’ll take some beating.”
Tinkler has also been reassured by the form from her Newmarket triumph as Ginger Nut landed another big sprint prize at York on Wednesday.
The trainer said: “We were getting a lot of weight from Ginger Nut at Newmarket, but it’s brilliant to see the form working out so well.”
Princess Power takes on five high-calibre rivals at Beverley, including course-and-distance scorer Rockin Roy, who has won three races this season and also finished seventh in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot for Archie Watson.
Snazzy is also well regarded by Charlie Fellowes, but finished eighth behind Princess Power at Newmarket, while Tim Easterby is responsible for Big Ace and recent Beverley winner Packington Lane. Three Card Trick (Kevin Ryan) completes a strong line-up.
It could be a fruitful afternoon for Tinkler as he also saddles Archie Perkins in the Beverley Lions Handicap (5.00), and Etienne Gerard in division one of the Racing UK Handicap (5.30).
The trainer said: “Archie Perkins won nicely at Beverley last time and goes there in good form.
“Etienne Gerard also likes running there and seems to respond well to claimers, which is why we are trying to get Izzy Clifton her first winner.
“Hopefully it will be a good day.”
Beverley’s eight-race card starts at 2.10pm, with the going described as good to firm, good in places.
The forecast for Family Raceday – at which under 18s go free – is for sunny spells, some rain in the afternoon, and a high of 17C.
