Beverley Buzz Comedy Club makes a return next month as organiser John Marshall brings back the event following the summer break.
Taking place at the Hayward Theatre at the Parkway Cinema, John first show will see four top comedians take to the stage.
John has been putting on Comedy nights in Beverley for over 10 years and has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy like Peter Kay.
Bringing his Buzz Comedy Club nights back to Beverley last year have proved to be very people with John enjoying good attendances for the shows.
Speaking to HU17.net John said;
“It was frustrating to have to stop doing the Beverley Buzz Comedy Club shows as we had quickly picked up a good following, but summertime is not the time to fill a theatre!”
“I am really excited to be back this Autumn and say hello again to the many loyal Beverley-based comedy fans who previously been to my comedy nights in Hodgson’s pub six years ago. I was delighted how many had turned up again at Parkway Cinemas to support the new venture.”
“It is always a good crowd in Beverley and it’s a thrill to once more be able to bring them top class laughs.”
Speaking about the acts set to take to the stage John said;
“Our headliner is Brennan Reece. He is a rising young comedy star whose energetic and often awkward approach to life is captured in his fast-paced, vividly-painted, humorous stories.”
“Brennan was nominated for the prestigious ‘Best Newcomer Award’ at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018 for his sell-out solo show ‘Everglow’, which he toured in Australia. He was also heard this year doing improvised voiceovers on ‘Survival of the Fittest’ (ITV2).”
“Dominic Woodward has 17 years of experience on the national comedy circuit and his stand-ups are cheeky but charming.”
“His engaging observations have brought joy, both to club audiences, but also online, where his sketch about a supermarket checkout conversation went viral.”
“Steff Todd is a comedian from Yorkshire with a quirky persona, she has an amazing talent for doing accurate impressions of reality television celebrities.”
“James Alderson is effervescent and exuberant: women laugh at his hilarious self-deprecation, and men laugh with him, feeling his pain.”
“There is a bar from 6.30pm, and showtime is 7.30pm prompt, finishing by 9.30pm to encourage those working the next morning!”
