Beverley Beavers u10 squad started the new season with games against Scarborough and Bridlington away at the Scarborough ground.
On arrival the weather delivered the ultimate test for both players and parents as the chilly wind and rain blew across the pitch.
Nonetheless the team got on with the games and demonstrated a confident understanding of the new rules which include the addition of the uncontested three player scrum, ruck, and maul.
Having ended last season on a high, the team showed skill and precision when managing the space, tackling, passing and securing tries.
Based on the evidence of Sundays performance the team will certainly be a squad to watch in the future.
Sundays team was made up of Joel Hardy, Josh Blamires, James Hebb, Will Aspin, Henry Stephenson, Flynn Harwood, Alex Gorman and two fantastic new additions Will Ashton and Freddie Walton.
Beverley Beavers U10s would welcome any new players, boys or girls currently in school year five, that might like to come and have a go.
