Young winners of a colouring competition which was held at Beverley Market have been presented with their prizes.
Judges decided the four youngsters, who are all pupils at Leconfield Primary School, produced the best festive artwork for a Christmas family day held at Beverley’s Saturday Market in December.
Charlotte, Nemisa, Olivia and Harriet were presented with their prizes by John Dyson, president of the National Market Traders Federation and a market trader at Beverley, and Richard Lascelles, markets and allotments officer at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The prizes included vouchers for East Riding Leisure centres, a book voucher and an art and crafts set.
Richard Lascelles said:
“Congratulations to the four winners and thanks to all the children who entered the colouring competition.
“We had some fantastic entries and we put them all on display at the market on the day for shoppers to see them.”
