Bradford Dudley Hill Next Up For Taylor’s Beverley Side

National Conference League’s Bradford Dudley Hill will be in town this weekend as they take on Beverley ARLFC.

Scott Taylor and his side will have to be at their very best if they are to avoid defeat to a tip widely tipped to win promotion.

In their last home game, Beverley suffered a defeat, the first one in many months at the Beverley Leisure Centre.

Recent results have also not gone well for Beverley with just one draw in their last three matches.

Taylor will again look to continue to put his faith in youth as he continues to play the long game.

Billy Riby who turned out for the Academy the previous week looks set for a recall. Also, Jordan Precious who was unavailable last weekend is set to return.

Beverley will once again be looking to Alex Starling and Alex Calvert for much of the go forward from the second rows.

If Beverley is able to win the forward battle it should allow half backs Lewis Poskitt and Lewis Straw to rediscover their earlier form.

Bradford Dudley Hill Will Start Match As Favourites

Bradford Dudley Hill, however, will be no pushover. They will arrive at the Beverley Leisure Centre having lost just one of their opening seven games.

They also have one of the meanest defences in the league conceding just 125 points. Beverley, however, has scored more points than Bradford but have played one game more.

Currently ninth in the National Conference League this is yet another big fixture. It is fair to say that Bradford will start the game as favourites, which could work in Beverley’s favour.

Beverley will certainly be hoping to get something from the game which is the first of two consecutive home matches.

With Shaw Cross Sharks and East Leeds both hot on the heels of Beverley,  the Blue and Golds need to pick up some points if they are to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.

Action at the Beverley Leisure Centre gets underway at 2.30PM.
