Humberside Police has released an E-Fit of a man they would like to speak with in connection with an incident on Beverley Westwood.
In a statement released Humberside Police said;
“We would like your help to identify the man shown in this E-Fit image. We want to speak to him in relation to an incident on Beverley Westwood on Thursday 25 April.”
“We responded originally to concerns for the safety of a woman on the Westwood at around 5pm on 25 April and following initial enquiries we are now treating the incident as a suspected serious sexual assault.”
Detective Chief Inspector Craig Nicholson said:
“We are continuing to investigate this incident as a serious sexual assault and are appealing for the public to help us in identifying the man shown in this E-Fit.
“We believe that this man might be able to help us with our enquiries and would ask that if this is you or you know who this is please come to us at the earliest opportunity so that we can speak to you.”
E-Fit Released While Victim Continues To Receive Support
“The woman continues to be supported by specialist officers and is helping us with our enquiries.
“I maintain that I believe that this was an isolated incident and that I do not believe it is related to any other ongoing investigations. Having said that I would like to appeal to the public to help us ID this man so that we can speak to him about the incident.
“When the incident happened it was a race day on the Westwood and there would have been a lot of people in the area. As there is another race meeting on Monday I am hoping that people who are regular race-goers might be able to remember anything that could help us.”
If you have information that would help with our enquiry please call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 416 25/04/19.
