Students making up the Class of 2019 from Beverley High School and Beverley Grammar School should be very proud.
Those are just some of the words used by the staff who over the past few years have worked with them. Teachers from both schools also say they believe all of them have a successful future ahead.
Students from the High School and also Grammar came together to celebrate the end of their days at their respective schools.
Their prom, held at Beverley Racecourse the reward for them and also the school’s respective staff,
Emma Good, Head of Year 11 at Beverley Grammar School said;
“It is exciting to see them all dressed up after a very hard five weeks and letting their hair down with the high school. It is a chance for them to share all the memories they have made at school.”
“They have been absolutely awesome, they are a good bunch, some of them have needed prompts along the way.”
“But I hope they get the results they want. They are all going to be successful in their own way.”
“There are quite a lot of them coming back to join the six form. Also, we have some going to other places and quite a few who have some really good apprenticeships.”
Class Of 2019 Prom Is The Highlight Of The Year
Mark Colton Deputy Head at Beverley High School said;
“The prom is probably the highlight of our year because it is the end point of a five-year journey. They started with us as young girls and obviously, they are going out as young women.”
“The fact that it is a lovely day, the sun is shining, they are all in their beautiful dresses helps make the day.”
“We are very proud of them and what they have achieved over the past five years. I look forward to them becoming successful citizens in the world.”
Every Single Student Should Be Proud Of Themselves
Matthew Scott, Assistant Head Teacher of Behaviour at Beverley Grammar School said;
“It is amazing to see these guys grow up and become young men. It has been wonderful to see the journey these students have been on over the last five years, it has been phenomenal.”
“Since they started their GCSEs two years ago, all the students kicked on and also made a huge improvement.”
“They knew what they wanted, did fantastic work experience and they have come back and gone into their GCSEs with a fantastic attitude.”
“Every part of this evening is about all of that hard work over the past five years. I know every single kid that is here tonight, and also some of the ones who are not here tonight are going on to do fantastic things for the future. As a result, all the staff feel fantastic.”
“Every single student here, genuinely is a credit to themselves, the school and their families. They should be very proud of themselves.”
