Thousands of people are expected to join in the fun at this year’s Christmas lights switch-on at Flemingate.
This year’s night of celebration is on Friday, November, 22, and will be packed with exciting entertainment. There will be a Nordic tipi bar and also a breath-taking firework finale.
Highlights will include two high-energy shows by Little Chix. They are Britain’s best and longest-running Little Mix tribute act. The group will bring the band’s top hits and also choreographed dance routines to the stage.
Elsa, Anna and Olaf from the Disney film Frozen will also be among the attractions at the exciting event. The much-loved characters will perform a medley of songs from the soundtrack.
Hosted by Beverley FM presenter Adam Smith, the festive evening will also feature Christmas classics by the All For One Choir. Additional entertainment will also be provided by the Parkway Panto cast from Talegate Theatre’s “Sleeping Beauty”.
Organisers Say It Will Be A Wonderful Evening
Jo Bridgeman, Flemingate Marketing and Events Manager, said: “Flemingate’s Christmas lights switch-on will certainly be a wonderful evening. We’ve got Frozen-themed entertainment, an amazing Little Mix tribute band and also the cast of Sleeping Beauty performing for us.
“Little Chix are recognised as the best Little Mix tribute act and they’ll go down a storm – even the band follow them on social media!
“Rounding the evening off will be a fabulous fireworks display lasting around seven minutes, immediately followed by a grand finale performance by Little Chix – a great way to mark the countdown to Christmas.
“We’re also very happy to welcome Bartipi’s Nordic tipi back for the third year. It’s always a big hit over the Christmas period.”
