An independent fostering agency based in Beverley is reaching out to individuals and families who are interested in becoming carers with an event in their local office.
Orange Grove Fostercare will be opening their doors from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday 6th November for a Meet and Greet session at their office, located on Second Floor, Rear Office, Reed House, Annie Reed Road, Beverley, HU17 0LF.
Guests will be able to pop in and speak to the Orange Grove Yorkshire Registered Manager along with current foster carers to gain an insight into the life of a foster carer, gather information and ask any questions they may have.
As of 31st March 2018, 53,040 children were in care according to Ofsted, an increase of over 1,000 when compared to the 2017 figures. As a result, more foster carers than ever are needed to care for these vulnerable children.
Orange Grove Registered Manager, Craig Clark, commented;
“With the need consistently increasing for more foster carers, we want to invite those who have been considering it to join us and answer any questions they may have. Many don’t realise that fostering is a paid, professional role and that they’ll receive support every step of their fostering career.
“Our foster carers will also be on-hand to share their experiences with fostering and will give an honest insight into their lives. Children of all ages are in need of love and care, so we ask that anyone interested in becoming a vital pillar of support join us and find out more.”
Orange Grove is an independent fostering agency. The organisation currently takes care of around 400 children across the South East, Midlands, North West and Yorkshire.
