The Hound of the Baskervilles has been named as the spring production for East Riding Theatre. The production will feature at the Beverley based theatre from the end of April to mid-May.
Described as a masterpiece of mystery and suspense, The Hound of the Baskervilles is the most celebrated Sherlock Holmes story of all.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s tale of the Baker Street detective and his trusty sidekick Watson has been hilariously adapted for the stage.
The adaption was done by Steven Canny & John Nicholson. It will run for three weeks and certainly promises to be a production not to be missed.
This howlingly funny spoof will be directed by Marieke Audsley. She specialises in both classic and modern drama and has already made a huge impact following her work last time at East Riding Theatre.
Marieke was the creative mind behind last year’s sell-out success Beryl which subsequently went on to a sell-out London transfer at the Arcola Theatre in Hackney.
Marieke says she had a wonderful time directing Beryl adding it is a treat to be back at East Riding Theatre.
