Humberside Police are appealing to the public after two paintings were stolen from a town centre business.
They hope that anyone who is either offered the paintings or who may also have information will come forward.
In a statement released, Humberside Police said;
“On the evening of Tuesday 28 April, two oil paintings were allegedly stolen from a business on Lairgate, Beverley, by a suspect who is believed to have been on a bike.”
“The paintings are both of a teddy bear, with a similar appearance to Paddington Bear, one possibly wearing a blue coat and one wearing a green coat.”
“We are asking that if you are offered paintings matching these descriptions, see them for sale online or at auction, to please report it to us immediately.”
“We are also appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist in our ongoing enquiries.”
