An East Yorkshire luxury vehicle cleaning entrepreneur has turned his premises into a PPE workshop using his tools to create face masks to donate to care homes and pharmacies in need.
Harry Hall, who is the founder and managing director of Attention to Detail (ATD), has teamed up with his firm’s paint protection manufacturer to create specialist face shields to protect vulnerable people from the Coronavirus pandemic that his hit the UK this year.
The face shields have been delivered personally by Harry and his ATD team to care homes and pharmacies most in need in the Hull and surrounding areas.
So far, more than 80 shields have been delivered, with more set to be transported in the coming weeks.
Harry said:
“Normally, at ATD we would be cutting and fitting paint protection film (PPF) to our customers’ cars to protect them from stone chips and other road debris.”
“However, while we have been closed due to the lockdown restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 outbreak, we decided to put our equipment and materials to good use.
“Our paint protection film supplier has kindly given us permission to use their film to create bespoke face shields to distribute to those that need them most during this challenging time.
Harry added:
“In times like this, helping each other is so important and at ATD we are really keen to help people however we can. We had the equipment available to create face shields for staff rely on PPE and care homes where vulnerable residents need it to protect themselves.”
