Alongside the good news that Barratt Developments is back constructing and selling homes, six site managers across East Yorkshire have won a top national award for the quality of the homes they are building from the National House Building Council (NHBC).
Amongst the winners, Paul Dearnley, Senior Site Manager at David Wilson Homes’ Tranby Fields development in Hessle and Mark Greenley, Senior Site Manager at Barratt Homes’ Harrier Chase development in Brough have each gained official recognition for the excellence with which they run their sites by receiving a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award.
Paul Dearnley has achieved the highly revered Pride in the Job Quality award five times in total, with three awards achieved in recognition for his work at the Tranby Fields development. Paul commented:
“I’m incredibly proud to have achieved a Pride in the Job Quality award for the fifth time, and three years running at Tranby Fields – to win such an award demonstrates a real team effort, and I have my entire team to thank for their hard work and support over the years.”
Now in its 40th year the Pride in the Job Quality Awards, known as the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry”, recognises the very best site managers from around the country. In total Barratt Developments Yorkshire East site managers won six Pride in the Job Quality Awards this year, and 92 nationally, more than any other housebuilder. Barratt has now won more Pride in the Jobs Quality Awards for 16 years in a row, a record unmatched in the industry which shows its commitment to building homes of the highest quality.
Each site manager is judged on a range of key criteria including health and safety, their technical knowledge, customer service and attention to detail. Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the housebuilding industry with just 450 individual winners being chosen from over 11,000 entrants.
Daniel Smith Managing Director at Barratt Developments Yorkshire East said:
“Now that we are back building and selling homes again, it is great to see that our site managers are rated as amongst the very best in the country for the high quality of the homes they deliver.”
“It is now more important than ever that customers have confidence in the homes they are buying, and the mark of a Pride in the Job Quality Award shows that their home has been built to the highest of standards. We are very proud to have won more of these quality awards than any other housebuilder for 16 years in a row.”
