The countdown has started for the hugely popular Walking East Yorkshire Festival 2020.
The festival, which will be delivered virtually for the first time in its history, will begin on Monday, 21 September with the launch of the brand new website.
Developed by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), the website, which will be full of ideas, hints and tips, will also release a brand new activity each day to encourage people to try something new.
As well as finding out what the daily brand new activity is, visitors are being encouraged to log onto the website each day of the festival to be in with a chance of winning one of five annual family passes to Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
All they need to do is find the different coloured pair of walking boots that will be hidden on the site every day and submit the sequence of colours at the end of the week (terms and conditions apply).
Councillor Shaun Horton, the portfolio holder for coastal regeneration and tourism, including culture and leisure at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:
“The festival really showcases the great activities, outdoor spaces, walks and attractions that are available across the region for everyone to enjoy.
“It so important that people to continue to be active and explore the wonderful East Yorkshire landscape and everything it has to offer.”
