Jacob’s Well Appeal For Volunteers To Help Sort Through Donated Goods

Jacob’s Well is urgently appealing for more volunteers to come and help sort out second-hand items at its warehouse in Beverley.

As a result of the lockdown being eased, they have been completely inundated with donations of clothes, books and Bric-a-brac.  All these things that have been donated will earn good money for charity.

However, Jacob’s Well now has the problem that they simply do not have enough volunteers to process it all.

John Beynon, CEO of the charity is now appealing for help from kind-hearted people. They are looking for people who are prepared to step in help sort through the goods.

He said;

“We haven’t seen this volume of donated items come through the warehouse ever.”

“I think people must have been sorting out their houses during the lockdown, and now that things are opening up again, they are bringing it to us.”

“Many other charities are not accepting donations at the moment, so we are benefitting from those as well.”

“We are very grateful for all the donations, but we need more people to help sort it out.  All the money raised from the items donated goes to help the poorest people overseas.”

“If you are able to help, please come and see us at our warehouse on Swinemoor Lane, or contact our office for more details.”
