Officers who are investigating a report of an assault on Mill Lane, Beverley on Friday 9 July at around 4:30pm, are appealing for witnesses and for CCTV or dashcam footage.
It is reported that a man was walking across the railway crossing near to Mill Lane when he was approached by two men who assaulted him, he sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
Three people were arrested in connection with the incident, all three have been released as we continue our enquiries.
