360 Chartered Accountants are throwing down the gauntlet to local businesses to join them in their October Fitness Challenge.
In April, the firm introduced a month-long fitness and wellness challenge to encourage its team to look after both their physical and mental health – while raising money for charity at the same time! It was so successful, they repeated it in June and August – and now want other businesses to get involved.
Andy Steele, Director of 360, based in Hull and East Yorkshire, said:
“We’ve noticed a huge difference since we started our fitness challenges. We all feel so much better, especially having spent much of the last 18 months working from home – and we plan to do them every 2 months going forward. It’s been a lot of fun – and we are reaping the benefits. We now want other businesses to join in for a bit of friendly rivalry to see who can walk the most steps during October.
“We’re going to be raising funds for our new charity, the 360 Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children and young adults in Hull access grassroots sports.
Any business getting involved can nominate their own charity. And, to make it even more interesting, whichever business chalks up the most steps, in addition any money they’ve raised themselves, the other teams will donate £100 to the winner’s charity.”
360 is looking for 5 local businesses to sign up for the October Fitness Challenge. Digital marketing agency, Superfly Marketing, is the first to jump on board and is encouraging others to do the same.
Nick Tyldsley, Superfly’s Managing Director, said:
“We’ve chosen Cancer Research as our charity. We thought this was a great way to raise money, improve our wellbeing and make us even more efficient.”
“We have a couple of sporty team members, but we’re mainly tech geeks – so this is going to be really interesting. We’re young, though, so we fancy our chances!”
