Eight Samaritans cyclists stopped off at the Hull Samaritans branch and in Beverley during their 350-mile cycle from London to York.
The ‘Heritage’ cycle aims to raise awareness of the work Samaritans do as well as to raise money for the charity.
All the cyclists are volunteers from a number of Samaritans branches across the country and had cycled from Lincoln to the Hull Samaritans branch on their third day since setting out.
Their final leg included an additional 8 cyclists from the York branch where they returned later in the day via a stop-off in Beverley.
Speaking after the event the main organiser Steve said;
“Thanks to the Hull Samaritans Branch for your wonderful welcome and support last Wednesday and Thursday.”
“The success of the ride was due, in no small measure, to those branches that provided welcome encouragement and support along the way.”
“You and your colleagues did us proud.”
