There’s a puppet with good taste and a sweet tooth staring out of the window of Nicky Condette’s TC Patisserie on Lairgate.
They are just one of the businesses and organisations backing the Beverley Puppet Festival with their Beverley Puppet Trail window displays.
Beverley Puppet Festival ‘Trail Blazer’ badges can be won at East Riding Theatre for everyone who completes the trail, which, along with Jane Eve’s ‘Medieval Minstral’ at TC Patisserie, is one of 12 puppets on show at 42nd East Bakehouse, Cole’s Kitchen, Guest & Phillips Jewellers, Crafty Coffee Shop, Everything but the Dog, Brown’s of Beverley Greengrocers, Poma, East Riding College, Jo Ja Be Boutique, The Treasure House and East Riding Theatre.
All correctly completed trail finder trail sheets – available at all 12 locations and the Beverley Tourist Information Centre in Treasure House – will be entered in a prize draw to win prizes donated by Parkway Cinema, Poma and Tesco.
The Beverley Puppet Trail is now open through to July 17th and aims to inspire local residents and visitors about the different types of puppets created around the world.
The festival itself runs from July 15 to July 17. Tickets and details of the full programme are on the website www.beverleypuppetfestival.com or via the new Beverley Puppet Festival app.
