Beverley Open Studios – Public Invited To Discover Town’s Artistic Side

Beverley Open Studios will see the local art community host a special event next month that will see them open their doors to the public.

It will allow participants to discover the wealth of artistic and creative talent hiding behind Beverley’s studio doors.

The public is invited to visit the studios and homes of Beverley artists for two weekends in October.

  In an interview with HU17.net, Emma Garness, who will participate in the event, said;

“There will certainly be something for everyone creative and non-creative during Beverley Open Art Studios.”

“As an event, this has been happening for many years. Sadly due to the pandemic, it has been parked for the past two years.”

“All of us involved are thrilled to be part of the event. We can not wait to show what we have been working on for the past couple of years.”

“We hope people in the town will take this opportunity to find out more about the work being undertaken by local artists.”

Beverley Open Studios Will Showcase Town’s Artists

Visitors will be able to chat with the artists, watch them at work, and hear about what inspires them and also what challenges them. There is also, of course, the opportunity to buy that special piece of work directly from the artist.

Beverley Open Studios are also excited to have four local galleries while the ERT Theatre is joining them.

These galleries showcase a diverse range of local artists and are well worth exploring.

There is so much to see over the weekends. Whether your interest is in jewellery, pottery, sculpture, photography, oil paintings, watercolour paintings, glassware, mixed media work, prints and printmaking,   or even wonderful cushions to brighten up the home – there will be something for everyone.

Leaflets are available at the Tourist information desk in the local library, local galleries and many other outlets.

The event is free entry and takes place on the weekends of 8th – 9th and 15th-16th of October.
