Rick & Zoe Roberts from Rick Roberts in Beverley, East Yorkshire has been shortlisted for the prestigious North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year title at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2022, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.
Taking place annually, the awards recognize outstanding achievements made by stylists from all over the country. This is their 38th year.
Seven specialist categories recognize specific areas of expertise in hairdressing, such as Afro, Men’s, Avant Garde and Colour, recognizing the best hairdressing talent from across Britain.
The Session Hairdresser of the Year award will be by nomination only in 2022 and will recognize the best stylists from the session world who will present their favourite images.
This award, regarded as the most significant in the industry, is by nomination only and is widely recognized as the most prestigious of the evening.
Over 100 leading hairdressers will judge all winners anonymously on Monday, 28th November at Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel on London’s Park Lane, including celebrities, session stylists, salon owners, and past winners. All winners will be announced at the event.
After submitting four photographic images that demonstrated both technical skill and creative ability, Rick & Zoe were selected as one of only six finalists in their region.
The final round of judging will take place in September, and they will submit a further four images. Judging at both stages is strictly audited and verified independently.
