Beverley Welcome High Flyers Keighley To East Yorkshire

Beverley RUFC will welcome Keighley to East Yorkshire this Saturday as they look to end a three-game losing streak at Beaver Park.

This will be a testing fixture for Craig Hancock and his side with the visitors in good form. Keighley has won their last three matches while Beverley has failed to win in their last three games.

Despite a strong start from Beverley they have struggled to secure wins. Their current run has seen them lose three on the bounce. These include local derbies against Goole and Hullenssians.

Keighley lost just once this season to Leodiensian.  Currently, Beverley sits in sixth place in the table while their opponents occupy third place.

Beverley, however, has a superior scoring record. They have racked up 217 points compared to just 191 managed by Keighley.

While Beverley has scored more, the visitors boast the meanest defence in the Counties 1 Yorkshire League. They have conceded just 67 points in six games. Beverley has conceded 164 in the same amount of matches.

Keighley Will Fancy Their Chances Against Beverley

The two sides last met back in 2019 at Beaver Park a match that Beverley won. In their last three encounters, Beverley has won twice while Keighley has won once.

There are eight points separating the two clubs in the table, so even if Beverley does win it is unlikely they can leapfrog their latest opponents.

A win for Hancock and his team is long overdue. They have been playing well but mistakes have proved costly in recent weeks.  But this will not be an easy match for Beverley.

Keighley will arrive and be expecting to win and keep pressure on the clubs above them in the league. A positive result for them could see them end the day top of the table.

Beverley RUFC V Keighley kicks off at 3PM
