With Netflix’s series six of The Crown filming, Pepperells Solicitors are supporting Dove House Hospice, continuing their long-term support. Pepperells’ Hull office on Alfred Geldar Street will be included in the filming.
Pepperells are also hosting a green room for the production in their onsite café, along with dressing the front of their office appropriately.
Because of this, the local solicitors have requested a donation be made to the hospice instead of any pavement fees.
Speaking ahead of this fundraising, Pepperells’ Sales and Marketing Director, Julia Rymer said:
“We are incredibly excited to see that Hull will once again be showcased through another major production in The Crown. With filming taking place on our doorstep, we were delighted to offer our on-site café as the green room during filming.”
“We know how important Dove House are within the community and are delighted that this partnership will provide an opportunity to raise funds for those in their care. On the day itself we will be having a “right royal affair” and having a celebratory afternoon tea, as well as encouraging staff to wear tiaras for additional donations.”
Jethro Shearring, the Senior Fundraiser at Dove House Hospice, added:
“We are so grateful to all at Pepperells for so kindly thinking of the hospice with this endeavour. Pepperells have truly gone the extra mile for us in recent years, helping to raise over £20,000 through their fundraising efforts.”
“This fundraiser is particularly significant as we were honoured to have HRH Diana, Princess Of Wales, visit Dove House on two occasions, including to officially open the bedded unit on the 24th June 1992.”
“As the hospice continues to strive to open out its care to so many across Hull and East Yorkshire in the face of rising costs, fundraisers such as this are more valuable than ever.”
