A special concert will take place at Bridlington Spa on Sunday 9 July to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bastille’s debut album Bad Blood.
The album includes the singles Overjoyed, Bad Blood, Flaws, Pompeii, Laura Palmer, Things We Lost in the Fire and Oblivion. Producer Mark Crew and band leader Dan Smith recorded the album in London.
It spent three nonconsecutive weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was certified triple platinum there. As well as the US Billboard 200, several other countries have charted the song.
With two further number-one albums, the band has sold over 11 million records worldwide.
The English pop-rock group Bastille was formed in 2010. Lead vocalist Dan Smith initially formed the band as a solo project, but later added keyboardist Kyle Simmons, bassist Will Farquarson, and drummer Chris “Woody” Wood.
The band signed to Virgin Records following a self-released EP and independent debut single. Bad Blood, their first studio album, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart in March 2013.
The cost of the tickets is £38 plus a booking fee and they will go on sale at 10am on Friday 4 November on bridspa.com, at the box office and by calling 01262 678258.
The pre-sale tickets for Bridlington Spa Members will go on sale at 10 am on Wednesday.
Bridlington Spa will host the first date of Pulp’s reunion tour in May next year, following their announcement.
