A new pop-up store has opened in Beverley’s thriving Flemingate Centre for vintage clothing brand Poorboy Boutique.
In Hull’s fruit market urban village on Humber Street, Poorboy Boutique was founded nine years ago and has thrived since.
Beverley’s first vintage clothing store opens a pop-up store at Flemingate for the winter season.
This means pre-owned designer brands such as Valentino, Burberry, Barbour and North Face can be found in the East Yorkshire market town this Christmas.
Poorboy also offers one-off, unique pieces of fashion that he has reworked and designed.
David Gibb is the Co-owner of Bag It Vintage Clothing, the sister brand of Poorboy Boutique.
He said: “We’re thrilled to have opened the pop-up store at Flemingate.
“Poorboy has gone from strength to strength since it first opened in Hull almost a decade ago. We’re at the heart of the Humber Street shopping scene and now we’ve brought our designer vintage labels to Beverley.
“We’ll be at Flemingate over the Christmas and New Year season, so pop in and see us and check out our vintage and reworked collection before it’s too late!”
Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas and others are among the brands sold in the pop-up shop.
Alongside leading national retailers Dunelm, Sports Direct, H&M and Baytree Interiors at Flemingate, Poorboy Boutique has taken over a unit opposite Sports Direct.
Monday through Saturday, the store is open from 9am to 5pm, and Sundays, it is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Wykeland Property Director David Donkin said:
“We have a long-standing and very successful relationship with Poorboy Boutique. It was one of the retail pioneers in Humber Street, where it has become a big hit with shoppers and a major draw to the Fruit Market.
“We’re delighted to now welcome Poorboy Boutique to Flemingate, adding to the established line-up of retail, food, leisure and entertainment outlets at the centre.
“Poorboy Boutique brings an exciting new independent offering to Flemingate – make sure to visit them this Christmas!”
Among its many national and local retailers and leisure brands, Flemingate is Beverley’s largest-ever regeneration scheme.
A Premier Inn hotel and six-screen Parkway cinema are also part of the complex, which also includes East Riding College’s Beverley campus.
