East Yorkshire Site Managers Recognised As Best In The Country

Barratt Developments Yorkshire East site managers who are building homes for David Wilsons Homes and Barratt won a top national award.

A number of Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes developments are located in East Riding of Yorkshire, including Harrier Chase in Brough, Harland Park and Poppy Fields in Cottingham, Minster View and Queens Court in Beverley, and Hesslewood Park and Fleet Green in Hessle.

This prestigious award recognizes Jamie Stephenson of Poppy Fields in Cottingham and Richard Chamberlain from Hesselwood Park in Hesselwood.

More Pride in the Job Quality Awards have been won by Barratt and David Wilson Homes site managers than any other housebuilder. For the 19th year in a row, Barratt and David Wilson Homes site managers have won the most awards of any housebuilder. Building high-quality homes and being the best in the industry are two of the most important priorities for Barratt and David Wilson Homes.

Award criteria include technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership, and attention to detail. Site managers play a crucial role in ensuring new homes meet high quality standards, are delivered on time, and are safe.

In the NHBC awards, every site manager is automatically entered, and just 450 winners are chosen from over 11,000 entries, illustrating how difficult it is to win.     

NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards were presented to Barratt site manager Kirk Raine last year. As a result of his work managing The Grove at Doseley Park, near Telford, Kirk received the Supreme Award in the Large Builder Category in January. The Supreme award has been won by a Barratt site manager six times in the past eight years.

Barratt Developments also received five stars for customer satisfaction in the annual survey conducted by the Home Builders Federation (HBF). A 5 star rating means more than 90% of its customers would recommend one of its homes to a friend, with Barratt being the only national housebuilder to receive this rating for 14 consecutive years.
