Chairman of East Riding and the High Sherriff were joined by Councillors from across the East Riding for a civic service that was held at St Mary’s Church Beverley. The guests marched through the streets of Beverley setting off from the Beverley Guild Hall led by the Beverley Pipe Band.
The service traditionally is used as welcome from the people of the town to the Mayor. During the service the Mayor of Beverley gave a short reading before guests enjoyed light refreshments in the historic St Marys Church.
