Beverley Squash & Racketball Club Event

Racketball-Bev

Beverley Squash and Racketball Club is holding a racketball try out session for ladies only on Saturday 20th March between 2pm and 5pm. Racketball is played indoors on a squash court, but the game is easier to play than squash because the ball bounces higher – even more than a tennis ball. The rackets have a bigger head like a tennis racket, but they’re lighter and easier to swing.

The tennis courts are not used in winter, so the tennis ladies section of the club use racketball to keep fit (and warm!). If you want to find out more about the sport, visit the England Squash & Racketball website and watch the video, it explains the game and the fitness benefits.

There are two heated and well maintained courts at the club set in the Norwood Recreation Ground on Norwood. Both courts will be used on 20th March to give ladies a chance to try the game and see the club facilities. Lady members of the club will be on hand to assist all visitors in using the equipment provided and to explain the game.

It’s a fun way to exercise with friends and  the courts are available all day for members to use. Annual adult membership costs start at less than £1/week and if you join in March the cost will be only £22.00 up to renewal at the end of September.

Ladies, pop in anytime between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday 20th March – half an hour will get you into “the fastest growing sport in the UK today”.
