The blue and golds having no game this coming Saturday arranged this friendly against the RAF at the Beverley Leisure Centre.

It proved to be a very useful workout with some valuable game time given to players who have spent a lot of time on the sidelines this season.

There was useful performances from players looking to cement a first team place.

The RAF outfit raced into a 12-0 lead and looked in command. However, the hosts hit back. Jack Humphries put Josh Milner over for a try before Ryan Davaney’s coss-field found Matt Newton leaping up to score wide out.

Jack Humphries put the home side in the lead before the visitors levelled things up at 18-18 with a try just before the break.

Beverley turned on the style in the second half with 5 unanswered tries. Matt Newton added his second, Josh Poskitt added 2 and Billy Riby and Steve Danby also added scored.

All eight tries were converted by Ryan Davaney and Josh Poskitt in a flawless goal-kicking exhibition.
