Local Rugby League Club To Host Fun Day

Local rugby league club the Beverley Braves will be staging a fun day this weekend as they look to raise the profile and funds for the club.

Taking place this Sunday 25 September at Longcroft School the event will be an action packed day of sport, activities and stalls for all the family.

Clubs from around the area will be attending the event as they look to participate in a day that will showcase grassroots rugby league in the town and the wider region.

A spokesperson for the Beverley Braves  said;

“We have the support of the Hull FC Foundation and we will be hosting a Rugby League Festival where all the age groups up to open age will be playing.”

There will be tournaments being played that will see the under 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s whilst the fixtures for the 13s and 14s will also take place on Sunday at Longcroft School.”

“To round the day off there is an Open Age game, those wanting to put their hand up to play in this game should get in touch with the club.”

“There will be hot food, a bouncy castle, stalls and loads of other things going on which will not only be fun but will help raise some cash for the club.”

“Anyone who is at Longcroft on Sunday and wants to pop along for a coffee and find out more about playing rugby league in Beverley is welcome to come along.”

The Beverley Braves are currently in the process of securing a move to Thurlow Avenue where they hope to finally have a place they can call home.

As club, the Beverley Braves continue to host various events in the community including their very popular annual fun run that allows other clubs to use their event to raise cash.
