Back By Popular Demand - Beverley on Film

If you missed it the first time round have no fear as The Yorkshire Film Archive is back with a final opportunity to experience the popular Beverley on Film.

Screening at the Beverley Parkway Cinema on Tuesday 8 November the film provides a wonderful insight into how life was in the historic market town.

Commenting on the second showing, a spokesperson for Yorkshire Film Archive said;

“Over 450 people have already enjoyed this trip back in time, reliving the sights and sounds of Beverley selected from a remarkable collection of archive films made during the 20th century.”

“Beverley on Film reveals, using an amazing mix of archive footage – the people, places, major events, and everyday life in this historic rural market town over the past 100 years.”

Cliffe Baillie from Beverley Parkway Cinema said;

“Beverley on Film’ is a fascinating window onto the bustling market town, the events and celebrations that have taken place over the decades.”

“It shows life in town through the lens of both amateur and professional film makers like Ernest Symmons who also ran the Picture Playhouse.”

Screenings will take place on Tuesday 8 November at 1PM and again at 7PM. Given the popularity of screening people are being urged to book in advanced to avoid disappointment.
