Children of all ages will be able to swim as often as they want this summer for a set price with the introduction of a new childs swim pass for all East Riding of Yorkshire Council operated swimming pools, including the pool at Beverley Leisure Complex.
The pass is available for children aged from 3 to 15 years of age and allows them to attend any of the general swimming or fun sessions at their local pool. The pass costs £20, lasts for six weeks and can be used at any of the participating centres. Children under 8 will need to be supervised by an adult when visiting a swimming pool.
Councillor Jane Evison, portfolio holder for cultural services, housing and public protection said: “Wondering what to do in the six weeks school holidays can be a challenge. So look no further, for £20 your child can have access to the majority of our swimming pools for the whole of the summer holidays, it will keep them amused and it’s healthy too.”
Adrian Walters, Assistant Leisure Unit Manager, said “Swimming is a great activity for children at any time but especially during the summer, they can play in the pool with their friends, have lots of fun and improve their health too. We hope that this pass offers real value for money to parents trying to find enjoyable, healthy activities for the family to do over the summer.”
Participating swimming pools are Beverley Leisure Centre, Bridlington Leisure World, Driffield Leisure Centre, Francis Scaife Sports Centre, Goole Leisure Centre, Haltemprice Leisure Centre, Hornsea Leisure Centre, Pavilion Leisure Centre and South Holderness Sports Centre.
