Beverley RUFC came close to causing an upset in the 2nd round of the Yorkshire Cup.
Beverley faced a tough test in Hull RUFC but started the game strongly taking the lead with penalty kick. Hull responded well and looked to be running away with the match.
Beverley RUFC dug in and a good second half performance saw them score two twice bringing them within 3 points of Hull. Late on Beverley looked to have breached the defence though fell just short, final score Hull RUFC 27 Beverley RUFC 24.
