Saturday, 16 September sees the return of the Worldwide Spin in Public Day at Sewerby Hall and Gardens where, between 11am and 3pm, visitors will be able to learn about the fascinating craft of weaving, spinning and dyeing.
This yearly event sees spinners from all over the world go outside and spin yarn in public places – a park, a library, a cafe, a museum – the possibilities are endless. This event is hosted by the York and District Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.
Admission charges are currently £7 for adults, £4.90 for children and £22 for a family (two adults and two children) and there is no additional charge to attend this event.
