Beverley’s Potting Shed has created the cosiest place for a drink this Christmas with the return of its popular winter yurt.
The Flemingate bar is all dressed up for the festive season and giving customers who love its gardens a Christmas treat by installing the huge outdoor yurt there.
It’s definitely more glamping than camping, and the atmosphere’s chilled out rather than chilly thanks to a log burner keeping temperatures nice and toasty.
With snuggly sofas, blankets and faux fur throws, as well as twinkly fairy lights, The Potting Shed’s general manager Darren Bayley says it’s the perfect place to spend a Christmassy afternoon or evening.
He said:
“Our gardens are a big feature of The Potting Shed so we love to include them in our Christmas celebrations and make the best use of the space now it’s colder outside.”
“When we introduced the yurt last year, it got such a fantastic response from regulars so we were keen to bring it back for 2017.”
The yurt can comfortably hold 50 people so there’s plenty of room and The Potting Shed plans to have it as a feature until New Year.”
Darren added:
“Even after Christmas it’s still a lovely warm place to be, and it gives customers an alternative to the main bar, so we’re intending to have it here until January 2 to keep the wintry atmosphere going.”
