Beverley Town Football Club boss Rich Jagger says his side are looking forward to their game this weekend as they look to book their place in the semi final of the cup.
Town who have in recent weeks began to click as a team will face Hessle Rangers, a side that turned Town over earlier in the season.
Speaking to Hu17.net ahead of Saturday’s match Jagger said;
“We are all really looking forward to the game. Hessle are a good side which beat us easily earlier in the season. However, since then we have improved and are full of confidence.”
“It is the East Riding senior cup quarter final, and with Hull city still in the competition the lads have every incentive to do well and progress to the semis.”
“The game has been switched to Longcroft 3G so it would be fantastic to see as many people down as possible supporting the lads.”
Jagger is boosted by the return by a number of players as giving the gaffer a number of options for the big match.
Commenting on his squad, Jagger said;
“We welcome back Joe Norton, Craig Muirhead, Kegan Rose and Kurtis Bedford for the game, so I will have some real selection headaches as the squad will be pretty much at full strength.”
Beverley Town were thrown a lifeline back in December when despite losing 2-0 to East Yorkshire Carnegie in the previous round.
An enquiry by the East Riding County FA found that Carnegie had breached the rules which saw Town reinstated on a technicality.
Rangers who also play in the Humber Premier League have lost eight times this season conceding 39 goals from their eighteen games.
Jagger has every right to be confident going into the game with his side showing they cannot only score goals but are defending well.
