Tanners Focus on Tonights Title Clincher

Hodgsons FC

Hodgsons FC will tonight look to clinch the Premier Division title as they travel to North Cave for their final game of the season knowing a win will see the Beverley side crowned champions.

The Tanners have been consistent for large chunks of the season; however the bad weather that caused a string of postponed games nearly caused a dent in their title hopes. The side did once again find good form and got the results that have seen them not only prove their credentials as title contenders but have also reached the Senior County Cup final.

Now just North Cave Reserves stand between Hodgsons FC and converted top spot which is currently held by Artfuldodgerny.com FC but both players and coaching staff at Hodgsons FC are confident they can get the result needed into tonight clash.

Lee Hastings, Chairman of Hodgsons said;

“A win for the championship, a draw for a play off, and a loss, well that doesn’t bare thinking about.”

The sides last met in September at the Beverley Leisure Centre in a match that Hodgsons won. North Cave Reserves come into the match off the back of two straight wins scoring six and conceding just one.

The match will also be the final league appearance for Matt Dexter the Hodgsons FC goalkeeper. Dexter is leaving the country and there will certainly be room in case for a championship medal.
