Beal Homes has revealed plans for an exclusive new development in one of the North’s most desirable towns.

The award-winning housebuilder has announced that its latest development will feature 55 luxury homes in sought-after Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Just a short walk from magnificent Beverley Minster, the £15m development, named St. John’s Fold, will offer three and four bedroom family homes with a choice of 11 different house types.

Work has begun on site infrastructure for the development on Woodmansey Mile, next to Keldmarsh Primary School, with the building set to start early next year.

Sue Waudby, Marketing and Sales Director at East Yorkshire-based Beal, said:

“We’re thrilled to be able to reveal our exclusive new Beverley development.

“Beverley is a beautiful and very popular place and we’ve been looking for the perfect location for a development in the town for quite some time.

“St. John’s Fold is in a lovely leafy setting on Woodmansey Mile, close to Long Lane, and within walking distance of all Beverley’s fabulous attractions, shops and restaurants.

“The development is likely to be especially popular with families due to its close proximity to Keldmarsh Primary and Beverley Grammar – both very good schools.”

Regularly rated as one of Britain’s best places to live, Beverley boasts bustling markets, a picturesque racecourse, characterful pubs, award-winning restaurants and a host of top retail names.

St. Johns’ Fold is a short walk from Beverley’s train station and retail and leisure park Flemingate. It is also close to the town’s 13th century Minster.

The development is named after St. John of Beverley who was the Bishop of Hexham and then York. He went on to found Beverley by building a monastery in the town.

It was St. John’s reputation that made the Minster a centre of pilgrimage, transforming the remote spot into a thriving town. Many medieval kings visited Beverley Minster to pay homage to St. John.

Chris Murphy, Beal Associate Land Director, said:

“Beverley is one of the most popular places to live in East Yorkshire and well beyond.

“St. John’s Fold occupies a prime location within the town. It’s close to Beverley town centre and just a few minutes to transport links to Hull, York and Leeds.

“We’re already working on the site infrastructure and will soon start on the main access road. We aim to have completed the development within two years.”

Every property at St. John’s Fold will be designed for modern life, boasting open, spacious, contemporary living areas. As with all Beal developments, buyers will have the opportunity to create their own bespoke dream home with Beal’s personalised design service and extensive range of fixtures, fittings and finishes.

Celebrating 50 years of building high-quality homes in Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Beal is at the forefront of residential development and regeneration across the region and enjoys an unrivalled reputation for quality and customer service.

  1. Great! It only takes me 20 minutes to get from my house on poplars way to Morrison’s as it is. Wonder if the councillors approving these new developments have to drive in and out of Beverley to work? Oh no they don’t – funny that.
